Melia Dubia is one of the fastest growing trees, which is used as a raw material for making plywood. It is a forest tree that is often used to line pathways for shade. It has also been used for afforestation due to its ability to adjust to most of the climate conditions. Melia Dubia can mature quickly and give better produce if harvested in favourable conditions.
These are the factors that speed up the growth of Melia Dubia:
• Proper irrigation
Melia Dubia tree needs regular irrigation, and, areas that receive a good rainfall throughout the year are best suited for the growth of this tree. In Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and some other regions of South India, the average temperature remains around 35 to 40 degree Celsius throughout the year and they receive rainfall frequently.
• Organic manure
As Melia Dubia is a forest species, it doesn’t necessarily need chemicals to grow. Thus, organic manure made from cow dung, dry leaves and sugarcane straws is ideal nutrient source for this tree. Vermicompost is another organic manure option to use for Melia Dubia farming.
• Multi- cropping
Planting some soil enriching crops like legumes and tomatoes in between the Melia Dubia trees can supplement the soil with nitrogen and other natural fertilisers. Thus, Melia Dubia trees should be grown using multi-cropping technique.
• Natural pesticides
Chemical pesticides are not good for the growth of Melia Dubia species as the tree should be allowed to grow naturally for its better growth. Thus, instead of chemical pesticides, natural pesticides should be used. Neem, citrus oils, garlic & salt sprays are some of the natural pesticides you can use on crops.
As AGROCORP believes in growing crops through organic techniques, we do not use chemical fertilisers or pesticides in the crops we grow. Melia Dubia is one of the major crop we grow among various cash crops like tomatoes, chilli, ginger, gherkin etc. Our agro farms are located at Hindupur district of Andhra Pradesh as the state has optimal climate and nutrient rich soil for growth of Melia Dubia and other crops. We use multi-cropping, drip irrigation, gun showers and other modern farming techniques to get maximum crop produce.
All the farming methods we use are helpful in generating maximum output for our investors. If you want to be a part of AGROCOP and have interest in investing with us, then give us a call on 70930 64464 or mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org
